Single Grain

Grain whiskey is however the alliance of unique ingredients, distilled in column stills for an extremely pure, unctuous and sweet result. For Jack Teeling, founder of Teeling Whiskey Company, it was therefore necessary to let the Single Grain express itself in its own right. This is not surprising, when we know that the Teeling family has been working since 1782 in Dublin to give a voice to the independent actors of Irish whiskey. Jack Teeling announced in February the project to build a distillery in the heart of the city. To give depth to the character of this single grain made from corn and wheat, he chose to age it entirely in Cabernet Sauvignon barrels from California. A sweet and fruity whiskey (red fruits and grapes). Notes of vanilla, honey and butter caramel. The influence of Cabernet Sauvignon barrels is found in the mouth with notes of red fruits (cranberries and plums). Spices are more present in the finish.
