Bruichladdich Islay Barley Vintage 2007

Barley here is a worthy representative of the land where it was born and the people who sown, cared for and harvested it. For this third limited edition in the Islay Barley series, Bruichladdich has selected premium 'Optic' barley raised at Rockside Farm in the west of Islay, right on the ocean's edge, and more specifically the 'Ministers field' - the 'Reverend's Plot'.

Here, the taste of the land takes on its full meaning! The result of a partnership between the distillery and local farmers, it is a 100% Islay bottled at 50° for maximum mouthfeel. On the nose, we find the character of barley that has grown on a marine soil and has been soaked in the Atlantic breeze and the aromas of the open sea.

Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich, one of the only distilleries to fully imagine, distill, age and bottle its Whiskies and Gin on the island of Islay, a small remote island off the coast of Scotland, with a unique ecosystem. The annual production is estimated at less than 1% of the volumes of large distilleries, guaranteeing special attention on each bottle.
