Ardbeg Fermutation 13 Years Old Committee Edition 2022 Release
A Miracle Story for the Ardbeg - Fermutation 13 Years Old
The Ardbeg - Fermutation 13 Years Old Committee Edition 2022 Release was born out of an unexpected event in 2007. A boiler failure threatened six washback tanks, the fermentation of which could have been irreparably compromised. But against all odds, an invasion of wild yeasts prolonged fermentation for 3 weeks, creating one of the wildest expressions of Ardbeg. This process, nicknamed the "Fermutation", has given rise to a single malt with a sharp and zingy character, unique in the history of the distillery. Produced since 1798 on the south coast of Islay, the Ardbeg distillery is renowned for its intensely peated whiskies. Owned by Louis Vuitton Moët Hennessy, it continues to fascinate enthusiasts with rare editions such as this Committee Edition.

Ardbeg
The distillery Ardbeg produces the most peated single malt in Scotland. In the past, the lack of ventilation in malt drying furnaces retained peat smoke, explaining the highly peated nature of its single malt. Single malts Ardbeg combine a rusticity full of charm, great finesse and a great richness of expression worthy of the best whisky.
