It is finally transferred a second time, this time in barrels that have contained oloroso sherry. This triple maturation results in a balanced whisky with notes of peat, woody and sherry. After a more or less long period - depending on the needs of the whisky - it is reduced to 48% and bottled without cold filtering.
A special cuvée of single malt Laphroaig, Triple Wood is a younger, stronger and richer version of its older brothers. It is the ideal whisky for lovers of peated and non-cold-fitted single malt. Islay fans will not be disappointed.
