Bruichladdich Port Charlotte Scottish Barley

You must be logged

This Port Charlotte Scottish Barley 'multi-vintage' cuvée was created by Jim McEwan to demonstrate the elegance and finesse of this heavily peated distillate. Despite its 40ppm, it is a sophisticated whisky, without the 'medicinal' side that is often associated with the peated whiskies of the west of Scotland.

Very rich in the mouth, with a lot of character. A unique complexity in peated single malt, combined with a finesse offered by the very slow distillation in the distillery's particular stills. The sweetness of smoked malted barley contrasts wonderfully with the marine freshness of this Port Charlotte. Ashy, spicy notes (Ceylon tea).

Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich, one of the only distilleries to fully imagine, distill, age and bottle its Whiskies and Gin on the island of Islay, a small remote island off the coast of Scotland, with a unique ecosystem. The annual production is estimated at less than 1% of the volumes of large distilleries, guaranteeing special attention on each bottle.
