We were able to discover Ardbeg Grooves in 2018. In 2019, the famous Islay distillery surprises us once again with a limited edition that pays tribute to the legendary atmosphere of Carnival in the Caribbean: Ardbeg Drum.
This Single Malt is made from a selection of Ardbeg whisky from former Bourbon casks, then aged in Rhum des Amériques casks. It pays tribute to Hamish Scott who, after being the manager of a rum factory, became the manager of the Ardbeg distillery between 1964 and 1967. Ardbeg Drum draws on Caribbean traditions to offer a whisky with a peaty and exotic aromatic palette with notes of pineapple.

The distillery Ardbeg produces the most peated single malt in Scotland. In the past, the lack of ventilation in malt drying furnaces retained peat smoke, explaining the highly peated nature of its single malt. Single malts Ardbeg combine a rusticity full of charm, great finesse and a great richness of expression worthy of the best whisky.
