This third version of Octomore's 10-year-old single malt was taken from various casks from the Isle of Islay's dsitillerie. 37% of the whisky was entirely aged in first-fill ex Port casks, 31% in first-fill Cognac casks, and 20% in second-fill American whiskey casks.

The remaining 12% was initially aged in American whiskey casks, then in virgin oak barrels, then in other American whiskey casks. It is an intensely peated single malt (167ppm), expect a powerful dose of smoke.

Bruichladdich

Bruichladdich, one of the only distilleries to fully imagine, distill, age and bottle its Whiskies and Gin on the island of Islay, a small remote island off the coast of Scotland, with a unique ecosystem. The annual production is estimated at less than 1% of the volumes of large distilleries, guaranteeing special attention on each bottle.
