Tasting notes
The sweet aromas of fruit cake mingle with cedar wood and cigar box aromas. The tannins of the oak barrels and the rich aromas of truffle fade to reveal subtle notes of smoked jam pie. This cuvée finally reveals fragrant notes of violet. The palate is velvety and offers contrasting aromas. Anise, soot and summer fruit give way to crispy pastry, dark chocolate, coffee and almonds.
Ardbeg
The distillery Ardbeg produces the most peated single malt in Scotland. In the past, the lack of ventilation in malt drying furnaces retained peat smoke, explaining the highly peated nature of its single malt. Single malts Ardbeg combine a rusticity full of charm, great finesse and a great richness of expression worthy of the best whisky.
