The marriage of American whiskey and PX sherry casks brings a unique depth. While American oak softens and balances the peat power, the influence of sherry enriches the flavor profile with fruity and spicy notes.
A powerful and structured flavour profile
On the nose, figs, raisins and dates precede the peaty and floral aromas. On the palate, a fruity and peppery attack gives way to the sweetness of barley sugar, quickly dominated by peat and dried fruit. The long and persistent finish mixes charcoal, soot, dried figs, with touches of iodine, lemon and bitter chocolate. A remarkable whisky, combining power and finesse.
