History and artistic collaboration

For this third edition of the Magnum Photos series, La Maison du Whisky and Velier have invited Spanish photographer Cristina De Middel to dive into the fascinating world of the Hampden distillery, located in the parish of Trelawny, in the heart of Jamaica. His shots, imbued with a cinematographic and surreal atmosphere, capture the raw and bewitching essence of this mythical place. Four of his photographs illustrate the traffic jams of this exclusive collection .

Presentation of the DOK in 150cl format

Distilled in pot stills and with an ester level of between 1,500 and 1,600 g/hlap, the Hampden DOK 4 Year Old is distinguished by an exceptional aromatic intensity. Aged for four years in a tropical climate, this rum expresses all the exuberant and complex character of the Jamaican style. Its aromatic richness unfolds tropical, medicinal and mineral notes, perfectly illustrating the bold and inimitable signature of Hampden Estate.

Hampden Estate

Built around 1750 the Hampden distillery originally belonged to a Scotsman Archibald Sterling. Hampden is known for its heavy rums distilled in copper stills. The fermentation is long and natural (no use of commercial yeasts).
