Appleton Estate 50 Year Old Jamaican Independence Reserve is an eau-de-vie of exceptional complexity, sweet and rich at the same time, marked on the nose by notes of orange zest, demerara sugar, sweet spices (cinnamon and nutmeg), walnuts and vanilla. On the palate the rum is very sweet, without any particular bitterness or astringency, and exceptionally well integrated. The finish is slightly bitter and above all marked by endless notes of orange zest and sweet spices.

Appleton

The first production of rum at Domaine Appleton dates back to 1749. However, the origins of the estate date back to 1655, when the English took Jamaica from the Spanish.
