Founded in 1753 in the parish of Trelawny, Hampden Estate is one of Jamaica's most iconic distilleries, known for its ester-rich, pot-still-produced rums. After a period of financial difficulties, it was bought in 2009 by the Hussey family, who revitalized the distillery by relaunching its production of quality rums.
