A rum with an authentic character

Distilled in mars 2013 and bottled in April 2021, the Compagnie des Indes Jamaica Clarendon 8 Year Old is a single cask cask strength, offering a pure, unfiltered experience. The Clarendon distillery, known for its diversity of styles, uses a traditional pot-still to produce a powerful and typically Jamaican rum.

A rich and balanced aromatic profile

This rum reveals a bewitching nose of vanilla and exotic fruits, accompanied by deep nuances of fermented molasses and a saline touch. On the palate, fruity and pastry notes mingle with delicately vanilla woodiness, offering a perfect balance between intensity and greed. The finish, both dry and unctuous, reveals aromas of currants and a touch of stone brandy.

Compagnie des Indes rums are made with care and elegance. The idea was born from the Portuguese, English, Dutch and French East India companies of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, which selected rare commodities from distant lands and imported them into their respective countries. Like the latter, we select the best qualities of rum and import them in France. Compagnie des Indes rums, whether bottled in Single Casks or assembled to bring out the typicality and qualities of each destination, are selected with great rigor.
