For the collection, Joy chose ten barrels from the 200,000 barrels aged in the cellars Appleton Estate, one of the largest and oldest collections in the world. Luca Gargano joined Joy for a blind tasting to select their three favorite barrels. This limited collection was named Heart Collection for three reasons, it was made in the heart of Jamaica, in a still that honors the heart of raw materials, and finally, the heart is also the symbol of the passion shared by Joy Spense and Luca Gargano.

12 barrels of the same mark make up this bottle, 1 among 3000 produced bottled at 60%, after a slight reduction. Here we have a very old Jamaican rum of 26 years, aged at the distillery.


Appleton

The first production of rum at Domaine Appleton dates back to 1749. However, the origins of the estate date back to 1655, when the English took Jamaica from the Spanish.
