New Yarmouth NYC Vintage 1994 27 years old

Located in the parish of Clarendon, the New Yarmouth distillery is famous for producing Jamaica's most popular rum: Wray & Nephew overproof. Distilled in a column in 1994, this ester-rich version was mostly aged (88%) at the distillery in the climate of the south of the island. 

 

To go further in ageing, this rum aged in 1994 until 2018 in Jamaica, then from 2019 to 2022 in Europe, including a few months in Paris in our cellar. 

The tasting notes

Nose

Without a doubt the most finest and distinguished nose of the jamaicans rums, full of delicacy around tropical fruits, florals and spiced notes.

Palate

We find this sensual nose, wealthy with a floral and fruity aromatic bouquet, follow by an elegant but still subtle woody aroma.

Final

Persistent with vegetable notes. A lot a freshness and touches of menthol as well as pine resin.
