One of the oldest rum in the world at the time we receive these wonderful bottles from the Ricci family. A 39-year-old Hampden, 26 years at the distillery and 13 years in Europe with a very short finish in Oloroso barrels made by the bottler. We know the mark, it is an HGML. Bottled cask strength - Amazing !

The tasting notes

Nose

Nez d’une grosse intensité aromatique où les fruits tropicaux, le fumé et un côté carcasse se renvoient la balle.

Palate

Beaucoup de fraîcheur et de peps en bouche. Les fruits tropicaux mûrs et crémeux tapissent délicatement toute la bouche, avec une tension légèrement acidulée apportée par le bonbon arlequin.

Final

Le tout se pose comme du velours sur des notes à la fois gourmandes, subtilement grillées avec des rétros finement torréfiés accompagnés d’une olive verte très délicate.
