Absolutely magnificent, it reveals first of all an empyreumatic nose marked by notes of naphtha. Then, in the second part of the fragrance but also in the mouth, it lets its fruity character fully express itself before returning to a very mineral register on the finish.

Born in Paris in 1928 to Russian parents, Elliott Erwitt was president of the Magnum agency in the late 1960s and remains one of the world's leading photographers today. He is particularly famous for the satirical humour he shows in his work and for a humanist sensibility dear to l'esprit of Magnum.

Built around 1750 the Hampden distillery originally belonged to a Scotsman Archibald Sterling. Hampden is known for its heavy rums distilled in copper stills. The fermentation is long and natural (no use of commercial yeasts).
