We're talking, of course, about a cask strength. The cask in question is a 470-litre ex-sherry cask. This bottling could remind us, taste-wise, of the Hampden Pagos 2023. 3 years of maturation for this single cask, distilled in 2020, bottled in 2023.

But who is Giuseppe Begnoni?

Giuseppe Begnoni has been an avid whisky collector since the 1960s, now boasting 9,000 bottles, some of which are unique in the world. After working as a banker, he became a whisky importer and travels the world to complete his collection, prioritising rarity over quantity. Its collection includes whiskies from various countries, including places less known for their whisky production.

Guiseppe, Luca Gargano's friend, is not at his first attempt by requiring Luca's attention for a cask single, you certainly remember The Caroni or the excellent Monymusk 1997 and of course the two batches of R.A.S.C

Hampden Estate

Built around 1750 the Hampden distillery originally belonged to a Scotsman Archibald Sterling. Hampden is known for its heavy rums distilled in copper stills. The fermentation is long and natural (no use of commercial yeasts).
