Our tasting notes for White Oak
Tokinoka
The Eigashima Company, owner of the White Oak Distillery, is originally a sake-producing company, proud heir to a long tradition dating back to 1679. In 1888, the Eigashima brewery was founded with significant resources. She was the first to bottle sake in 1899. Pioneering and ambitious, the brewery obtained in 1919 the first license to produce whisky in Japan under the brand name White Oak Whisky, even though Masataka Taketsuru, considered the father of Japanese whisky, was in Scotland to learn the secrets of Scotch whisky.
