This rare expression has aged in barrels that have contained red wine before being matured in Ovum barrels, which are French oak barrels shaped in Charentes by the Meilleurs Ouvriers de France of the Taransaud team.

Ichiro's

The eponymous brand refers to Ichiro Akuto - grandson of the founder of the legendary Hanyu distillery (who stopped production in 2000). Ichiro then founded the nearby Chichibu distillery and managed to save a number of Hanyu barrels. Japanese distiller Ichiro Akuto's whiskies are among the most popular in the world.
