Unlike the standard edition, this blend is based on three unique components: single malt from Chichibu, malt aged in Hanyu sherry casks, and grain whisky over 40 years old from the Kawasaki distillery, once sister to the legendary Karuizawa. This refined marriage gives this whisky an incomparable depth and complexity.

Founded in 2004 by Ichiro Akuto, the Chichibu distillery continues the family legacy with an artisanal approach and an absolute commitment to quality. This rare whisky embodies all the prestige and elegance of the great Japanese blends, combining aromatic richness and incomparable finesse.
Ichiro's
The eponymous brand refers to Ichiro Akuto - grandson of the founder of the legendary Hanyu distillery (who stopped production in 2000). Ichiro then founded the nearby Chichibu distillery and managed to save a number of Hanyu barrels. Japanese distiller Ichiro Akuto's whiskies are among the most popular in the world.
