A few words about the creator of Nine Leaves

Founded in 2013 in Otsu by Yoshiharu Takeuchi, the Nine Leaves distillery has distinguished itself by its high standards and innovative character. Inspired by Ichiro Akuto (Chichibu), Takeuchi called on the Scottish house Forsyths to design his stills: a stocky wash still close to those of Chichibu and a slender spirit still reminiscent of Glenmorangie. These technical choices gave rise to distillates of great purity, which quickly acquired an international reputation.

Presentation of 7 Year Old Rum

Distilled in 2018, this 7-year-old Nine Leaves has benefited from an original ageing in three 300 L barrels containing Armagnac. This ageing gives the rum a unique depth and complexity, enriching the richness of Japanese black sugar with the suave and woody accents of Armagnac. Bottled cask strength at 59% vol., it is available in a limited edition of 923 bottles.
