When rum meets artistic expression

Karibia - Artist Batch 1 — by Yeswoo Dini is made at the Bielledistillery in Marie-Galante from pure 100% Marie-Galantais cane juice harvested by hand in 2014. Distilled on a 16-tray Savalle column, it is aged for nine years in the old cognac cask n°422 before being bottled at 54.2% cask strength, without filtration or reduction. This limited edition of 350 numbered bottles is stored in the cellars of the Rhums Vieux de Marie-Galante, on the Poisson estate in Grand-Bourg. It is also distinguished by its original label created by the internationally renowned Guadeloupean artist Yeswoo Dini, making this cuvée a meeting between heritage, creation and know-how.

Tasting notes

The nose reveals a powerful and complex profile where vanilla, grapes and bananas mingle, supported by a discreet and elegant woodiness. The palate offers a full and warm attack, followed by a beautiful roundness marked by candied fruit, caramel and spices. The long and persistent finish reveals notes of pastry, tobacco and light spices, in a harmonious balance between the agricultural terroir of Marie-Galante and the influence of the cognac barrel.
