From its past as a sugar island, Marie-Galante has preserved the cultivation of sugar cane varieties that have now disappeared. Among the most common are the red cane and the "B47.258", a cane dating from 1947. Harvested by hand and always transported in carts pulled by oxen, these are at the origin of the complex bouquet of Rum Rum.

Installed on the Bielledistillery, Gianni's stills Capovilla specialists in eaux-de-vie, gave birth to the RhumRhum. Its principle: to make rum with the fermentation times and sugar cane of yesteryear.
