Distillery heritage

Founded in 1887 by Homère Clément, this emblematic distillery of Martinique perpetuates a traditional know-how in the heart of the commune of Le François. The Clément family gave its letters of nobility to Martinique AOC agricultural rum, remaining one of the few distilleries from that time still in operation.

Development Process

This authentic agricultural rum follows a specific maturation process: 1 year in French and American oak barrels, followed by 3 years in bourbon barrels. This artisanal method allows the exchanges between the spirit and these different types of wood to gradually build an intense and fruity aromatic palette, characteristic of this cuvée at 41.4°.

Flavour profile

The mahogany colour announces notes of cocoa, spices, oranges and candied dates. On the palate, the aromas of vanilla, woodiness and empyreumatic harmonize perfectly, culminating in a very long, syrupy and sweet finish.
