The Legacy of Mount Pelee

The Depazdistillery, founded in 1651 in Saint-Pierre de Martinique, is one of the oldest in the West Indies. Destroyed by the eruption of Mount Pelée in 1902, it was rebuilt by Victor Depaz, the only survivor of the family. This VSOP Special Reserve is aged for a minimum of 4 years in French oak barrels, on the very slopes of the volcano.

Volcanic finesse

The nose is elegant and expressive: vanilla, fine wood, tropical fruits, cocoa and a volcanic mineral touch. The palate is supple and harmonious, with flavours of caramel, honey, nutmeg and candied mango. The finish is warm and of a beautiful length. A reference VSOP in Martinique, perfect for pure tasting or a refined cocktail .

Nose : Nez chaleureux et doux à la fois, bien marqué par la vanille et le pruneau frais.

Palate : L'attaque en bouche est franche, puissante et d'une belle fraîcheur à la fois.

Finish : Le corps est fluide, sans aucune lourdeur, mais d'une belle profondeur se terminant sur une note plus poivrée.
