Part of its ageing is carried out in French oak barrels – 220 or 350 litres, the other in 190-litre American oak barrels. The reduction of the degree of up to 48.5% is carried out throughout the ageing process through the various topping-up.

After nine years of ageing, the rums are selected by the cellar master who determines a rigorous blend. This XO cuvée at 48.5% vol is the symbol of the Neisson tradition and its revival. Its assembly is determined as follows:

- 10% of 12-year-old aged in French red oak barrels, aged on 9 July 2004;

- 70% of 11-year-old aged in American oak barrels, aged on May 17, 2005;

- 20% of 2007 aged in American oak aged on December 28, 2007.

We are thus dealing with a rum with a burnished gold colour, revealing on the nose gourmet notes of candied fruit and vanilla and spicy chocolate caressed with wood. The rest is expressed by an aromatic and gustatory symphony that is both elegant and powerful, giving way to a very long and sensual finish.

Since its creation in 1931, the Neisson distillery has preserved in the purest Martinican tradition the components of a rum with incomparable flavors and taste. Packaged in a bottle with generous shapes, reasonable among all: "Zépol Karé" as the amateurs say, our rums are the result of a know-how constantly renewed from the cane fields to the aging cellars.
