At the beginning of 2017, Marc Sassier, the new president of AOC Martinique, and Luca Gargano, president of Velier, chose 4 barrels. The four barrels were distilled in 2008, then matured in ex Cognac barrels and finally, bottled to their natural degree (barrel proof)
