Aged in American oak for aromatic intensity

Distilled in 2007 and bottled in 2018, this cask strength showcases the influence of American oak, which gives a powerful structure and great aromatic depth. The HSE distillery, recognized for its know-how, delivers here an expression where the richness of the wood and the finesse of the agricultural rum are elegantly balanced.

A powerful and greedy aromatic profile

The nose reveals an intense, almost tactile woodiness, accompanied by roasted nuts, caramel and vanilla. With aeration, notes of blond tobacco, coffee and orange peel bring even more complexity.

On the palate, the power is controlled and reminiscent of the imprint of a bourbon. A creamy texture settles in, where vanilla, coconut milk and tonka bean mingle, offering a surprising delicacy. The woodiness, tender and caramelized with butter, enriches the whole.

The finish extends this intensity with notes of wood, coconut, vanilla and tobacco, evoking at times the profile of certain great rums of the English tradition, such as those of Foursquare.
