The white rums at the origin of this cuvée come from the 2004 (15%), 2006 (15%) and 2007 (70%) vintages.

No less than three different vintages of aged rums are used in the composition of this blend, with ageing on December 28, 2007. The rums at the origin of the Special Reserve have been softened in wooden barrels of 2000 and 5000 liters for a period that varies from 6 months to 3 years.

The ageing was done in 90 350-litre barrels, made of Limousin oak. The successive passages of the eau-de-vie in barrels of different degrees of depletion ensure a harmonious extraction of the woody fragrances from the oak lignins, while avoiding excess tannins. The reduction of the degree of up to 42% is carried out throughout the ageing process through annual topping-up.

Nose : Robe ambrée claire.

Palate : Nez complexe où s’épanouissent des parfums de fruits séchés et de vanille.

Finish : tructure harmonieuse aux tanins très fondus. Notes de pain d’épice et d’agrumes.
