After having undergone an initial relaxation - ageing in wood in oak barrels of 5000 to 10000 litres - the rums at the origin of this cuvée are aged in barrels of less than 650 litres.
Initially, the rums will stay in new French oak barrels in order to acquire a tannic structure and woody fragrances. Then, over the years, they will be transferred to older and older barrels in order to promote the evolution of the ageing aromas as well as the melting of the structure. Part of the ageing is carried out in 195-litre American oak barrels.
The reduction of the degree by up to 45% is carried out throughout the ageing process using the various tools.
Unloaded and blended a year before packaging, the rums of this cuvée will have aged for 6 to 8 years in barrels and then for 12 to 24 months in oak barrels. This long process gives rise to

Palate : nez complexe évoquant les fruits cuits, le cacao torréfié et les épices - poivre.

Finish : corsé et puissant en bouche, avec des notes de fruits à l’alcool et de noyaux qui se marient harmonieusement au caractère boisé et épicé.
