About the Trois-Rivières Distillery

The Trois Rivières distillery, located in the south of Martinique, is a pillar of the agricultural rum industry, known for its respect for traditions and continuous innovation. Guided by l'esprit pioneer of its Cellar Master, Daniel Baudin, Trois Rivières perpetuates a unique know-how in the art of rum aging. The use of French oak barrels, some of which are new and some previously used for Cognac, underline the distillery's commitment to the quality and complexity of its rums. This approach, combined with an exceptional terroir, shapes the distinctive identity of Trois Rivières.

The brand's first XO Trois Rivières

Trois Rivières X.O is the quintessence of excellence in agricultural rum from the AOC Martinique. Matured for at least 6 years in carefully selected oak barrels, this rum represents the perfect harmony between tradition and innovation. Presented in an iconic decanter, this rum is a gem in Trois Rivières's permanent range, reflecting the prestige and craftsmanship of the brand. Composed exclusively of French oak barrels, it reveals a rich aromatic profile, resulting from a controlled balance between new barrels and those that have contained Cognac.

Let's move on to the tasting of this X.O

Trois Rivières X.O immediately seduces with its golden colour with copper reflections, proof of its density and quality. The nose offers a subtle marriage of macerated fruit, liquorice and spices, which opens with notes of quince paste, curry, and even Havana cigar after aeration. On the palate, its structure is remarkable, the woody presence enveloping the aromas of spices and sweet peppers, testifying to an exquisite balance between power and finesse. The finish, long and persistent, is marked by notes of liquorice and mineral accents, crowning an unforgettable tasting experience.

Trois Rivières

La Plantation Trois Rivières is more than 350 years of history! In 1660, Nicolas Fouquet, Louis XIV's Superintendent of Finance, won the largest concession ever granted to the West Indies: 2000 hectares located in the south of the island.
