100 years of French prestige

A tribute to the date of creation of the Distillery in 1923 on the west coast of Martinique, the Grande Cuvée du Siècle (1923-2023) embodies 100 years of French prestige of the J.BALLY brand throughout the world. An icon of the Decorative Arts movement, its pyramidal decanter, revisited for the occasion, houses a blend of its rarest vintage rums.

An exceptional rum according to J.Bally

An inventor at heart, Jacques BALLY left his mark on the history of rum and forged people's minds. Praised by his peers, he helped to give Martinique rum its letters of nobility by raising it to the status of French exception. To taste J.BALLY is to go back in time, to understand the secrets of agricultural rum, to taste the authentic know-how established and passed down from generation to generation. Although the original distillery has closed its doors, the heirs have given up the key to the cellar allowing the epic to continue. Thus, the 1929 vintage brings history with its notes of old wood. 1939, his empyreumatic notes. The fruitiness is revealed by the years 1955 and 1975. The fine touch of a more recent cuvée such as the 2008 brings roundness and cohesion to the whole.

Issued in a box, the collector's decanter is immersed in the heart of lush sugar cane vegetation with Art Deco features that gives a singular tone to the one that has perfectly embodied this cultural movement for a century. An ode to the history of French know-how by mixing the past with the present with accuracy and elegance.

A unique blend

Thus, this magnificent decanter is composed of the most prestigious vintages of the house J.Bally. Composed like an orchestra conductor, Marc Sassier has assembled the vintages 1929, 1939, 1955, 1975 and 2008. Decanter in box, delivered with a second Art Deco stopper.
