Braud & Quennesson joins the long list of Martinique distilleries. Production of the brand new rum factory was started on Wednesday, November 23, 2022. It is the southernmost rum of Martinique. Braud & Quennesson comes exclusively from the canes of the Habitation Grand Fonds au Marin. In addition to the launch of a new rum, this day also marks the rebirth of an emblematic site in the south of Martinique: the former Marin factory.

Cultivated, at the southern limit of the AOC area, Grand Fonds canes benefit from an exceptional rate of sunshine. They contain one of the highest sugar contents on the island. "This characteristic gives this new rum unique qualities, which connoisseurs describe as round and greedy," explains the management of the rum factory.

Braud & Quennesson

The Habitation Grand Fonds, which houses the Braud & Quennesson rum distillery, named after the engineers who created the sugar factory, was built in 1866.
