Brand history

Founded in 1890, Flor de Caña has established itself as one of the oldest rum houses in Central America. Passed down through five generations, this heritage has withstood periods of conflict, natural disasters and major economic changes. The company is now distinguished by a strong social and environmental commitment: distillation from 100% renewable energy, CO₂ capture and recycling, more than one million trees planted since 2005, as well as active support for the families of its employees through dedicated health and education services.

Presentation of this exceptional rum

Made from cane juice grown in the rich volcanic soils of San Cristóbal, Flor de Caña – 35 Years Old was distilled in 1990 and then aged for three and a half decades in American white oak barrels. Completely natural and without additions, it is part of the family's private reserves, supervised by Maestro Ronero Tomás Cano. Produced in only 350 copies, this cuvée is presented in a crystal decanter inspired by the reliefs of the volcano, topped with an obsidian stopper and delivered in a custom-made walnut box.

Tasting notes

This rum offers deep aromas of honey, ancient wood and liquorice. The palate unfolds flavours of bitter chocolate, intense vanilla and warm nutmeg, for a full-bodied and harmonious expression that highlights its long tropical ageing.
