Refined refining

This long-matured rum draws its aromatic richness from its passage in port barrels, which sublimates the notes developed during its 21 years of initial aging in bourbon barrels. This process provides a balanced structure between greediness and intensity.

A complex flavour profile

The nose reveals a combination of beeswax, honey and toasted wood, before giving way to a red and black fruit jam, dominated by prunes and black cherries. With aeration, surprising smoky notes evoke hot ash and charcoal, adding a new dimension.

A powerful and nuanced tasting

On the palate, tannic wood and jammy fruit intertwine with vibrant spices such as saffron and caraway. The finish, long and intriguing, oscillates between resin, toasty and a gourmet touch reminiscent of roasted pine thorns.
