Founded in 1937, Compañia Licorera de Nicaragua is famous for its production of Flor de Caña rums and its expertise in prolonged aging in American oak barrels. Despite the turbulent periods of Nicaraguan history, the distillery has managed to preserve large reserves of aged rums, allowing it to offer exceptional vintages. This rum, distilled in 2000, has benefited from careful tropical aging before being bottled for Rom de Luxe in 2021.

In 2016, Claus Andersen, in collaboration with Thomas Nielsen and Lasse Bjørklund, embarked on this thrilling journey. But like all great tales, characters shift: today, Michael Ginnerup and Kim Pedersen have taken up the torch, replacing Thomas and Lasse.
