Know-how inspired by Cuba

The Malecon rums are produced in Panama, respecting Cuban methods. Distilled from molasses, they benefit from a long ageing in a tropical climate, giving them a remarkable depth and elegance.

Aged for 12 years in Bourbon barrels

Thanks to patient ageing in oak barrels, this rum develops a silky structure and a rich character, where greediness blends with spices with subtlety.

Tasting notes

The nose opens with intense notes of citrus, cinnamon and cream. On the palate, the attack is bright and fruity, with aromas of orange zest, apricot and sweet spices. The persistent finish evolves on a spicy and liquorice register, pleasantly prolonging the tasting.

The rum specialist, Marco Savio of Savio Trading Srl in Aosta, Italy, is the founder of Malecon rums. The rum is produced according to the traditional Cuban method from the Caribbean Spirits Panama Distillery and offers an exceptional range of aromas and impressions and can – depending on the rum – age for 25 years and more.
