A Cuban heritage

Inspired by Cuban tradition, this rum is made from a meticulous blend of concentrated rums (aguardientes) and light rums, giving the whole a unique aromatic depth. This refined technique brings a subtle balance between richness and softness.

Prolonged ageing

Aged for several decades in ex-bourbon barrels, Malecon 1987 developed a complex palette where woody, spicy and vanilla notes mingle, while maintaining an elegant roundness.

A refined tasting

This rare vintage reveals deep aromas of caramel, dried fruit and sweet spices. Its long and silky finish makes it a tasting rum par excellence, ideal for lovers of aged and complex rums.

The rum specialist, Marco Savio of Savio Trading Srl in Aosta, Italy, is the founder of Malecon rums. The rum is produced according to the traditional Cuban method from the Caribbean Spirits Panama Distillery and offers an exceptional range of aromas and impressions and can – depending on the rum – age for 25 years and more.
