The Destilería Prolisa, pioneer of Peruvian ron

Based in Chiclayo, in northern Peru, Destilería Prolisa makes the Millonario from local sugar cane molasses, distilled on a wooden column dating back to 1938. This artisanal process, rare in modern industry, gives the distillate a singular aromatic imprint that is only amplified by prolonged ageing in a tropical climate.

An assembly XO in magnum format

The Millonario XO is a blend of rums aged between 12 and 20 years, successively aged in ex-bourbon casks and then refined in ex-sherry casks. Bottled at 40° and presented in a majestic 1.5-litre magnum bottle, it has a deep mahogany colour. The nose is opulent, dominated by cocoa, candied fruit, roasted coffee and oriental spices. On the palate, the texture is smooth and enveloping, with a remarkable length where toffee, fig and bourbon vanilla mingle.
