In 2015, Don Papa launched her first art competition in the Philippines. The goal was to engage the local artist community to reinvent the brand's history and values through an art contest that will display the winner's design on a limited edition gift box. This competition produced 4 award-winning works and each artwork was presented on a limited edition box. More than 100,000 units of these special canisters have been sold worldwide.

Since 2012, Don Papa Rum has established its premium rum brand around the world and has won awards for its packaging design, including a double gold medal at the prestigious San Francisco Wine and Spirits Competition. For its 5th edition, Filipino artists are called upon to design the Don Papa Rum label inspired by the island of Negros, reimagined under the name of Sugarlandia where the dominant life force is its rich flora and fauna. The visual theme draws a magical realism of a lush, fertile land where not only sugar cane thrives, but also a diverse ecosystem of plants and animals.

Nose : mandarine, banane, vanille.

Palate : ronde, cake aux fruits, orange.

Finish : longue, abricot, cannelle.

Rum Don Papa or Don, was inspired by the stories of one of the unsung heroes of the Philippine revolution: Dionisio Magbuelas, better known as "Papa" Isio.
