History & Origins

Head for Saint-André, site of Bois-Rouge, where the Savanna distillery excels in rums with great aromas rich in esters. This Planteray cuvée is part of the Reunionese tradition, at the service of a rum of character prized by spirits enthusiasts.

Product Overview

The result of a long fermentation and distilled from molasses, this 2005 vintage version was aged for 10 years in a tropical climate in cognac barrels, then refined for 10 years in a continental climate in a cognac barrel from Maison Ferrand. Offered at 57.5% in 70 cl, it is drawn from a Single Cask #Rime Q2-08, limited to 258 bottles—a sharp piece for lovers of craft distillery, great aroma and single cask.

Tasting notes

Full of ardour and voluble: the palette mixes empyreumatic accents, fruity tones and chocolate touches. Persistent, it leaves intense scents of hydrocarbons and currants in the empty glass, the expressive signature of the great aromas of Reunion Island.
