Produced by the Savanna distillery on Reunion Island, Savanna - Artist Edition Art of Rum by Xandro is part of a series that pays tribute to artistic creation. This fourth edition highlights the work of artist Xandro and illustrates the experimental approach of the distillery, recognized for the diversity of its aromatic profiles and its aging methods in tropical climates.

An original blend of rums aged in a tropical climate

This cuvée is based on the blend of several molasses rums aged in a humid tropical cellar on the edge of the Indian Ocean. It brings together a traditional 6-year-old rum aged in ex-cognac barrels, a traditional 9-year-old rum matured in ex-muscatel casks, as well as an 8-year-old HERR (high ester) rum distilled in stills, aged successively in ex-cognac and then ex-port barrels. The whole forms a structured rum, balanced between intensity and depth.

Flavour profile

On the nose, powerful fruity and tropical notes emerge with intensity. The palate reveals a full-bodied and energetic structure, carried by a subtly woody structure. This edition is offered in a numbered series and limited to 1700 copies, intended for lovers of singular rums and creations from artisanal distilleries.
