In 1900, the drink won a medal at the Universal Exhibition and the success was such that the initial manufacturing site on rue du Dragon in Paris was no longer sufficient to meet demand. In 1903, the Clacquesin factory moved to Malakoff, then called "Little California", on a 4,000m² plot of land. It is at the gates of Paris and Little California that this great aroma will be bottled with an alcohol content of 40% in the 70's. This great aroma comes from the French West Indies. Today, great aromas are highly sought after, whether they come from the French West Indies, Jamaica or Reunion Island.
