A rare selection by Vagabond Spirits

With Vagabond Spirits - Harmony TDL 2006 & 2008, the house offers a demanding interpretation of the T.D.L. (Trinidad Distillers Limited) style. This cuvée combines two vintages carefully selected to reveal the complementarity of their profiles. Produced in a limited edition and packaged in a 500 ml format, it illustrates Vagabond Spirits' approach, focused on blends of character and spirits with a strong personality.

Complex and controlled ageing

Distilled in a Pot Still still , this blend is 75% 2006 rum and 25% 2008 rum. The 2006 vintage benefited from 7 years of tropical ageing, followed by 9 years in a continental climate in first-fill bourbon casks, then an additional year in Scotch Whisky casks. The 2008 vintage was aged for 12 years in a tropical climate and then 4 years in first-fill bourbon barrels. After blending, the rum rests for two months in vats before being bottled without reduction, in 57% cask strength .

Tasting notes

The nose and palate reveal aromas of juicy nectarines, roasted mirabelle plums and cinnamon quince compote. Notes of warm esters, plum crumble , and blood orange salad enrich an intense, ripe, and fleshy profile. The finish stretches over evocations of warm apricot fritter and ginger-cardamom infusion, bringing depth and length to the whole.
