This brand celebrates the inauguration of a new distillery opened in February 1931 in the Mabouya Valley, near Dennery in St. Lucia. The distillery was founded by Denis Barnard, it has been producing rum since 1972, when the distillery was formed following the merger between the Dennery distillery and the Roseau distillery.

Their story is written on the label and on the box set in the form of Time Line. Each year, the colour of the label changes and the history of the distillery will be written year after year on the label, on the barcode and on the packaging.

Our tasting notes for

Nose : Full nose of sweet honeyed fruit with hints of chocolate and tobacco.

Palate : On the palate dry at first then opens up to display great depth and complexity. Concentrated with steeped raison fruit, vanilla and a hint of roasted nuts.

Finish : Balanced and an incredibly long finish 1931 is the pinnacle of fine rum making.
