Founded in 1897 in Elgin, Glen Moray has grown from a former brewery to an iconic Speyside distillery. Now owned by the La Martiniquaise group, it perpetuates an accessible and elegant style, marked by meticulous finishes.
Ripening in port barrels
After ageing in American oak barrels, this whisky is matured for 8 months in ex-port casks. This complementary maturation brings a beautiful aromatic intensity, enriching the natural roundness of the malt.
Tasting notes
Nose: Dried fruits intertwine with toasted and vanilla aromas, brought by the port barrels. Mouth: Sweet and spicy, marked by notes of caramel, spices and a hint of lemon, bringing a nice balance. Final: Fresh and persistent, leaving a light and greedy sensation.
