21 years of Trinidadian maturation

Trinidad is a mythical rum island, the birthplace of legendary brands such as Angostura and the late Caronidistillery. This 2002 vintage rum was selected by Valinch & Mallet after 21 years of ageing, a remarkable age that testifies to the patience and high standards of the bottler. The bottle is part of The Spirit of Art 5 collection, adorned with an original work.

The depth of a two-decade-old rum

The nose is fascinatingly complex : black fruits, bitter cocoa, leather, tobacco, pecans and burnt caramel. The palate is powerful and structured, with layers of molasses, licorice, roasted coffee and dark spices. The texture is dense and oily, the finish exceptionally long with notes of precious woods and dark chocolate. A meditation rum that bears the characteristic imprint of Trinidad, between power and sophistication.
