Angostura 1919 is a special blend of several medal-winning rums.
It celebrates a very special date in the development of the rum industry in Trinidad and Tobago as well as for the Caribbean. After the fire that broke out in 1932 destroyed the government customs warehouse, the rum masters of the Fernandes and J.B. Fernandes distilleries bought the burnt barrels and discovered that they had been filled in 1919. This precious rum was very skilfully blended and named "1919 Aged Rum".

The Angostura house is located on a 20-acre complex, in the heart of the Caribbean, off the coast of Venezuela, on the island of Trinidad, so renowned for the joie de vivre and sense of celebration of its inhabitants.
