Created by Trinidad and Tobago – creators of the most awarded rum ranges – to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Trinidad's independence, only 20 decanters of this precious liquid will be put into circulation. Each one carries a price tag worth US$25,000, making Legacy by , the most expensive rum in the world. Many will argue that it is also the best rum in the world. The culmination of almost 200 years of distillery heritage, this is an art-worthy blend of Trinidad and Tobago's 7 most precious and rare rums (each at least 17 years old). And for the most expensive rum in the world, the best packaging in the world. Legacy by is presented in a custom-made crystal and silver that can hold 500ml, specially created by the Prince of Wales' jeweller, Asprey of London. According to the rum masters, John Georges, Legacy by has the refinement of crystal and the color of an old oak with reflections of bronze and gold. It is sweet on the palate, with flavors of dried fruit while that encompasses the palate of warmth with notes of spices and nuts. The finish is long with aromas of orange zest and oak.

The look

Handmade individually by master craftsmen from ten separate states, the design of the Legacy by Crystal Decanter is inspired by an original decanter from the Art Deco period of the 1930s, created by Asprey of London as well as bottles from 1824 and 1919 from Sprey. Each decanter is signed Asprey, crowned with a fine line of silver in the shape of a papillon on a sugar cane (the raison d'être of this rum). It is presented in a handmade wooden box, encompassed with a silk and velvet fabric and delicately covered with the collar of red Asprey calfskin.
